A Shift in Perspective

Originally, Volume 7 was titled “An Observer-centric Philosophy of Science.”  Content for this the book grew out of a recognition that content within the Philosophy of Science seemed to not address the role of humans as observers.

I wrote college paper with the title, and presented a poster presentation at the Eastern Division of the American Philosophical Society in January, 2025.

As I neared completion (first draft) of the first two sections of the book with this title, it struck me that the content really reflected a thesis on people as “Bearers of Meaning.”  This change in perspective is reflected in the conceptual map of the Exploring the Gap Series.

In addition, the book will have four sections, with the last section providing a more detailed statement of Who we are as People.
